Harrisonburg, VA: Bishop Jerome led the Patronal Feast Day of Holy Myrrhbearers Mission

On May 19, the Sunday of the Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Myrrhbearers Mission in Harrisonburg, VA and led the patronal feast day.

During the Sixth Hour, Bishop Jerome tonsured parishioner James Yount a reader, and awarded parish Reader John Hoyle the orarion. His Grace celebrated the Divine Liturgy, co-served by rector Archpriest John Moses, Priest Richard Reed (rector of Holy Family Western Rite Church in Woodstock, VA), and parish clergy Priest Gabriel Weller and Deacon Nektarios Kanney.

Also in church was a local contingent of Eritrean Orthodox Christians, led by Fr. Behata Amine and Deacon Abraham Amine.
