Mayfield, PA: Bishop George leads Divine Services in St. John the Baptist Cathedral on Holy Fathers Sunday

On Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of January, on the Sunday of the Holy Fathers, His Grace George, Bishop of Mayfield, led the divine services in his Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Mayfield, PA. His Grace was co-served by cathedral clergy: cathedral dean and Dean of Pennsylvania Archpriest John Sorochka, Archpriest Claude Vinyard, Priest Michael Lillie, Protodeacons Gregory Petrochka and Stephen Howanetz, and Deacons Michael Pavuk and Nathaniel Sorochka.

The prayerful mood of the faithful was augmented by the singing of the cathedral choir under the direction of director Gary Paul Brzuchalski. Upon completion of the Liturgy, Bishop George delivered a sermon on the feast and congratulated parishioners and the cathedral’s faithful on the upcoming feast of Christ’s Nativity.
