Bishop Nicholas leads Paschal Service on Thomas Sunday in Novo-Diveevo
Convent
On April 19, St. Thomas Sunday, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, celebrated
the Divine Liturgy in St. Seraphim Church of Holy Dormition Convent
"Novo-Diveevo" in Nanuet, NY.
The monastery houses the largest Russian cemetery in the U.S., and a
multitude of Russian Orthodox Christians traditionally flock here on
this day to pray for their friends...

St. Vladimir Youth Association holds Concert and sings Divine Liturgy in
St. Vladimir Memorial Church
On Bright Friday, April 17, a youth choir organized by St. Vladimir
Youth Association held a concert at St. Vladimir Memorial Church in
Jackson, NJ. The concert was dedicated to the feast of the Glorious
Resurrection of Christ (Pascha), and organized as part of the millennial
celebrations of the repose of the Baptizer of Rus’ – the Holy
Equal-of-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir.

Howell, NJ: Bishop Nicholas celebrates Liturgy in St. Alexander Nevsky
Diocesan Cathedral on Second Day of Pascha
On Bright Monday, April 13, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, vicar of the
Eastern American Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Alexander
Nevsky Diocesan Cathedral in Howell, NJ.
Prior to
the start of the service, the clergy exited the church to the peal of
bells to greet the bishop, and returned in procession, chanting the
Troparion of Christ’s Resurrection.

Bishop George leads Palm Sunday Services at Holy Cross Monastery
On Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of April, on the great feast of
the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, the clergy of
Holy Cross Monastery
in Wayne, WV, led by their abbot, His Grace George, Bishop of Mayfield,
performed the festal divine services. The monastic choir sang the
divine services, and the church was overflowing with the brethren Holy
Cross Monastery, local parishioners, and pilgrims, who came to celebrate
the joyous feast of the Lord’s Entry into Jerusalem before His Passion.

Reminder to all rectors regarding a special collection for the needs of
the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem
We remind the Rectors of all parishes and communities and Superiors of
monasteries in the Eastern American Diocese that, according to Council
decree and established tradition, annually, on Palm Sunday, all churches
of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia undertake a plate
collection on behalf of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem.
