Holy New Martyrs & Confessors of Russia, His Eminence Hilarion,
Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the
Russian Church Abroad, led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy in
the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. His Eminence was
co-served by Synodal clergy: senior priest Archpriest Andrei Sommer,
Archpriest Vasiliy Raskovskiy, Hieromonks Eutychius (Dovganyuk) and
Tikhon (Gayfudinov), Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff, and Deacons Nazari
Fataliev and Dionysius Lvov, as well as Archpriest Alexander
Krassovsky (rector of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Santa Rosa, CA),

NY), and other visiting clergy. Singing the Liturgy was the
Hierarchal Choir, under the direction of conductor Peter Fekula.
Upon completion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion addressed the
faithful with a sermon. On the threshold of Great Lent, the
cathedral sisterhood invited the clergy and parishioners to a
delicious pelmeni luncheon.
The divine services on these days were held under the aegis of the
wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God. On Monday,
February 9, Metropolitan Hilarion departed with the Icon for the
Diocese of Australia & New Zealand.
