Wayne, WV: Bishop George leads Divine Services for Feast of Christ’s Nativity in Holy Cross Monastery

On Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th of January, the great feast of Christ’s Nativity, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop George of Mayfield, led the festal divine services in Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV. At the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy, His Grace was co-served by the monastery’s deputy abbot, Abbot Seraphim (Voepel); dean, Hieromonk Alexander (Frizzell); and monastery clergy.

Upon completion of the Liturgy, Bishop George congratulated the brethren on the feast of Christ’s Nativity, and then led the Rite of the Panagia in procession from the church to the monastery refectory, where a festal luncheon was offered.
