Mebane, NC: Metropolitan Hilarion performs Archpastoral Visit to Holy Trinity Church

On Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of August, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, paid an archpastoral visit to Holy Trinity Church in Mebane, NC. At Divine Liturgy on Sunday, concelebrating with His Eminence were Archpriest Alexander Logonov (rector of Reigning Mother of God Church in Charlotte, NC), parish rector Hieromonk Gabriel (Kvasnikov), Priest Alexander Stepanenko (cleric of Reigning Mother of God Church), Protodeacon Dionysius Lvov (cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, accompanying the Metropolitan), Deacon Ivan Makarov (cleric of Reigning Mother of God Church), and Deacon Andre Zavalin (cleric of St. Innocent of Moscow Mission in Nashville, TN).

During the Little Entrance, in accordance with the resolution of the Synod of Bishops, Fr. Gabriel was elevated to the rank of abbot (igumen). The divine services were accompanied by the pious singing of the parish choir, under the direction of Reader Andrey Semyanko.

Upon completion of the service, parishioners prepared a luncheon, at the conclusion of which the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad spoke at length with parishioners. The Holy Trinity community expressed their immeasurable gratitude for the fatherly love shown by Metropolitan during his every visit.
