Vineland, NJ: Metropolitan Hilarion celebrates Patronal Feast Day of Holy Trinity Church

On Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of June, the great feast of Pentecost (Holy Trinity Sunday), Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, paid an archpastoral visit to Vineland, NJ, where he led the patronal feast day of Holy Trinity Church.

At the festal All-Night Vigil, His Eminence was co-served by parish rector Archpriest Liubo Milosevich, Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfudinov; abbot of the neighboring Holy Protection Skete in Buena), Protodeacons Stephen Howanetz (cleric of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Mayfield, PA) and Dionysius Lvov (cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City), and parish Deacon Dimitri Krenitsky. At Divine Liturgy the following morning, the above-mentioned priests were joined by Priest Eugene Solodky (cleric of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA) and Deacon Nathaniel Sorochka (cleric of St. John’s Cathedral in Mayfield).

After Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion served Great Vespers with the reading of the Pentecost kneeling prayers.

Upon completion of the service, His Eminence delivered a short sermon, and congratulated the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church on the occasion of their patronal feast day. The Metropolitan then presented Fr. Liubo with a diocesan gramota in honor of his 30 years of service at Holy Trinity Church.

A bountiful festal luncheon was offered in the parish hall.
