Stratford, CT: On Bright Monday, Bishop Jerome celebrates Liturgy in
St. Nicholas Church
On
Bright Monday, May 2, the second day of Holy Pascha, His Grace,
Bishop Jerome, paid an archpastoral visit to St. Nicholas Church in
Stratford, CT, and celebrated the Divine Liturgy. His Grace was
co-served by parish clergy: rector Archpriest George Lardas and
Protodeacon Paul Giatas.
Bishop Jerome addressed the faithful with two sermons: in Russian,
on the Apostolic service to the Church and our neighbor which we all
share; and in English, on the "wilderness voice," relating to the
reply of St. John the Baptist to those who asked him who he was, and
how very few of us obey the Word of God.
Upon completion of the Liturgy, His Grace led a procession around
the church, and congratulated all those present with the feast of
Christ’s Resurrection.
