Southbury, CT: Patronal Feast Day of St. Sergius Chapel in Churaevka

On Saturday, October 8, the feast day of the Repose of Venerable Sergius, Abbot of Radonezh, Wonderworker of all Russia, the faithful celebrated the patronal feast day of St. Sergius Chapel at Russian Village "Churaevka" in Southbury, CT.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the rector, Archpriest Constantine Semyanko, co-served by Priest Vadim Pismenny (former diocesan cleric). Outdoors in the fresh air, the faithful lifted up their prayers to Venerable Sergius, and upon completion of the service Fr. Vadim spoke about the life of the venerable saint and about the multitude of pilgrims who annually flock to St. Sergius Lavra in Russia.

After Liturgy, a festal luncheon was served.
