Rochester, NY: Bishop Nicholas leads Divine Services in Holy Protection Church

With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of October, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan paid an archpastoral visit to the Protection of the Mother of God Church in Rochester, NY. His Grace led the parish festivities in honor of the parish’s patronal feast day, which had taken place on October 14.

At the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy, Bishop Nicholas was co-served by parish clergy: rector Archpriest Gregory Naumenko, Protodeacon Andrej Strapko, and Deacon Nikifor Franklin, as well as Abbot Theophylact (Clapper-DeWell; cleric of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY).

Upon completion of the Liturgy, a bountiful luncheon was offered to clergy and parishioners in the parish hall.
