Buena, NJ: Appeal from Holy Virgin Protection Skete

On Saturday, August 13, an automobile collision sent one car flying into the main church at Holy Virgin Protection Skete in Buena, NJ, causing severe damage to the front entrance to the building. Because of conflicting insurance claims, as well as a legal requirement to rebuild the entrance according to code with handicap access, the monastic community is concerned that there will not be sufficient funds for the necessary repairs.

The skete’s rector, Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfudinov), is appealing to the faithful to donate to Holy Virgin Protection Skete to help defray the final costs of reconstruction. If you are able and willing to donate financially or to volunteer you time, please contact Fr. Tikhon by phone at (347) 573-2607 or by e-mail at rocor.tikhon@gmail.com.
