On Friday morning, May 28, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Greek Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York, thereby bringing to a close the meeting of the Episcopal Assembly of North and Central America. The Assembly of bishops of North and Central America was conducted according to the decisions of the Fourth Pre-Conciliar Pan-Orthodox Conference in Chambésy, Switzerland, held June 7-13, 2009.

Vineland, NJ: Bishop Jerome led the divine services on the patronal feast day of Holy Trinity Church

The day of Holy Pentecost is the patronal feast day of the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church in Vineland, located in the southern reaches of New Jersey. To celebrate this special day, Bishop Jerome of Manhattan made an archpastoral visit to the parish, leading the All-Night Vigil service. His Grace was co-served by two priests – rector Archpriest Liubo Milosevic and Priest Eugene Solodky, as well as Protodeacon Dimitri Temidis.

Today the Episcopal Assembly of North and Central America, in which all canonical Orthodox bishops are invited to take part, opened in New York. The head of the American Greek Archdiocese, Archbishop Demetrios of America, led the meeting as chairman, and began the meeting with the first address.

Jordanville, NY: Holy Trinity Monastery celebrates its Patronal Feast

On May 22-25, Holy Trinity Monastery celebrated its Patronal Feast of Pentecost. The celebrations began on Saturday evening and continued until Tuesday, the third day of the feast of Pentecost. Seminarians actively participated in the celebrations as altar servers and on kliros, as well in the kitchen preparing a festive meal for the numerous pilgrims.

On Tuesday, May 25, His Holiness Kyrill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, congratulated His Grace, Bishop George of Mayfield, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, and for his "zealous work for the benefit of the Mother Church" awarded him the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, 2nd Class. Priest Sergei Sokolov and Dowager Grand Duchess Leonida Romanov reposed in the Lord

On May 22, Pentecost Saturday and the feast of the Translation of the Holy Relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Priest Sergei Sokolov, cleric of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York, reposed in the Lord. That same day in Argentina, Archpriest Vladimir Skalon, Senior Priest of the Resurrection Cathedral in Buenos Aires, departed this life. Fr. Sergei’s funeral will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 25, in the Synodal Cathedral.

Middlebrook, VA: A Women’s Retreat was held at All Saints of North America Church

On Saturday, May 15, forty women from across the state of Virginia took part in a day-long spiritual retreat hosted by All Saints of North America Church in Middlebrook, VA. The retreat centered around talks given by both Mother Andrea and Mother Anna of St. Nicholas Monastery in North Fort Myers, FL. The main talk given by Mother Andrea was entitled "Reality Check: Are you Living in Reality?"

He asked permission to do a short television report on the life of the resident brethren. Priest Vadim Arefiev, rector of the Church of Our Lady "The Inexhaustible Chalice," under whose auspices the Mercy House operates, agreed to a meeting with the journalist and cameraman Andrew Desnykh...

From April 30 to May 2, 2010, 28 men gathered at the Hermitage of the Holy Cross, located in Wayne, West Virginia, to consider the possibility of serving the Orthodox Church through ordination. On Friday night, the men gathered for fellowship, lenten snacks, and evening prayers. Then, on Saturday, after morning prayers and breakfast, they met at the pavilion at Beech Fork State Park for a series of lectures on the life of a clergyman.

The Parishioners of Washington's Cathedral of St. John the Baptist will long treasure in their hearts very warm memories of the weekend of April 24-25, memories of performances by a choir from a unique educational institution in Moscow — the Moscow Choir Direction/Choral Seminary.  In the evening on April 24, 38 young singers under the direction of Priest Andrei Nefedov  chanted the entire All-night Vigil at our church.
