Hartford, CT: Parish Feast Day of St. Panteleimon's Church
On
Sunday, August 9th, the parish
of St. Panteleimon in Hartford, Connecticut, celebrated its
feast day. On the eve of the feast, Priest Brendan Crowley (West
Springfield, MA), along with his parishioners, joined rector Priest
Dionysy Nalitov and the parishioners of St. Panteleimon's for the
All-Night Vigil. The choir, under the direction of Nicholas Semyanko,
adorned the service with beautiful and prayerful singing. On the
following day, a moleben with the Rite of the Lesser Blessing of the
Water was held at 8:30 AM, followed by the greeting of His Grace,
Bishop Jerome, who was making his first archpastoral visit to the
parish. His Grace was accompanied by Deacon Dimitri Temidis. The
festive Liturgy was attended by a multitude of faithful. Bishop Jerome
delivered an interesting and substantive sermon, followed by a moleben
and crucession. A generous luncheon was prepared by the sisterhood,
led by head sister Matushka Xenia Nalitov.
