New York: Bishop Jerome led the Divine Services in the Synodal Cathedral on his Namesday

On Sunday, June 28, on the day of St. Jerome of Stridonium, the vicar bishop of the Eastern American Diocese, Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, led the divine services in the Synodal Cathedral on the occasion of his namesday. The recently consecrated bishop celebrated his saint's day for the first time as a monastic and hierarch. Much like his patron saint, Bishop Jerome has translated many liturgical texts, one of them being the Liturgy of Apostle Mark, which His Grace translated from Greek into Church Slavonic.

At the end of the Liturgy, Subdeacon George Schatiloff, a member of the Diocesan Council, read a congratulatory letter from Bishop George and Diocesan Council to Bishop Jerome. The letter stated:

To His Grace
JEROME
Bishop of Manhattan
Vicar Bishop of the Eastern American Diocese

Your Grace, most reverend Vladika,

On behalf of the entire Eastern American Diocese, we sincerely congratulate Your Grace on the occasion of your namesday. On this monumental day for your flock, prayers are being offered up to the Lord for your health and salvation. We wholeheartedly pray that the Lord God grant you physical health and rejuvenate your spiritual strength to continue your hierarchal service in the vineyard of Christ for many, many years!

Eis polla eti despota!

+George, Bishop of Mayfield
Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese

Archpriest Serge Lukianov
Diocesan Administrator and Secretary

After the Liturgy, a festive luncheon was held in honor of Vladika, during which words of congratulations were expressed to His Grace on behalf of the Synodal Cathedral and sisterhood. The editors of the official website of the Eastern American Diocese sincerely congratulate Bishop Jerome with the day of his patron saint and protector.
