Atlanta: First Day of Work at the Pastoral Conference Concluded

For the second half of the first day of the pastoral conference, the delegates were split into two groups: the matuskas stayed to join a discussion with Metropolitan Hilarion and Archpriest Yaroslav Belikow, on the role and service of matushkas in the Orthodox Church. Archpriest Serge Lukianov led a discussion with the clergy, on the topic of practical liturgical methods. Bishops George and Jerome took active part in the discussion, sharing their serving experience and practical suggestions with the clergy.  Afterwards, conference participants gathered outside for friendly social interaction and a bountiful dinner, during which Alexander Lisnichuk and his percussionists entertained the guests. After dinner, delegates returned to the hotel with a feeling of satisfaction and gratitude to the Almighty for successul completion of the first day of the conference.
