New York: Yuri Schidlovsky reposed in the Lord

On Saturday, September 19, at the age of 82, Yuri I. Schidlovsky, third president of the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Yuri dedicated his whole life to the Russian Church Abroad and to the founding of ROCOR's Fund for Assistance. In 2007, Yuri was awarded the Synodal Order of the Sign 2nd Class by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Laurus. 

Panihidas will be served on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23, in the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Glen Cove, NY. The funeral will be served by His Grace Jerome, Bishop of Manhattan, on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Dormition Convent at Novo-Diveevo, after which a commemorative luncheon will be held in the parish hall of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY.

We ask all clergy of the Eastern American Diocese to pray for the repose of the newly departed servant of God George (Yuri).
