Howell, NJ: An Announcement from the Diocesan Office
September
4th marks the 34th anniversary of the repose of the
ever-memorable Archbishop Nikon (Rklitsky), once Archbishop of
Washington and Florida. In connection with this anniversary, a
panihida will take place at St.
Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ, on Friday, September
3rd at 5:00 PM in the lower
church of the Protection of the Mother of God, where Archbishops
Vitaly (Maximenko) and Nikon repose. The panihida will be served by
His Grace Jerome, Bishop of Manhattan, co-served by diocesan clergy. After the
panihida, a memorial dinner will be held in the parish hall.
We
invite all clergy and laity to come and pray at the grave of one of
the greatest archpastors of our diocese and the Church Abroad.
We
ask that clergy bring blue vestments with them. The panihida will
begin at 5:00 PM.
