Jackson, NJ: Bishop Jerome celebrated the patronal feast day of St. Vladimir Memorial Church

On Thursday, July 28, His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Vladimir Memorial Church on the occasion of the church’s patronal feast day. His Grace was co-served by Archimandrite Ioann (Magramm), Archpriest Zoran Radovic (rector of St. George’s Serbian Church in Elizabeth, NJ), deputy rector of the memorial church Priest Serge Ledkovsky, Priest Vadim Arefiev (rector of the Church of Our Lady the "Inexhaustible Chalice" in Brooklyn, NY), Protodeacon Dimitri Temidis (cleric of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY), and parish deacons Alexander Smida and Paul Drozdowski. Also praying in church was Archdeacon Eugene Burbelo.

In his sermon, Bishop Jerome emphasized the responsibility of every Christian to spread and bear witness to the Orthodox faith among heterodox peoples, as the holy Grand Prince, Equal-of-the-Apostles, did in his time. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a procession was held around the memorial church; after the service, a luncheon was held in the parish hall for all of the parishioners and guests.
