Jordanville, NY: Bishop Jerome led the divine services in Holy Trinity Monastery on the 25th anniversary of Metropolitan Philaret’s blessed repose

 

On Sunday, November 21, on the feast of the Holy Archangel Michael and the Other Heavenly Bodiless Hosts, His Grace Jerome, Bishop of Manhattan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, co-served by monastery clergy. This day marked the 25th anniversary of the repose of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Philaret (Voznesensky, +1985; third First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad), who is interred in one of the crypts below the altar of the monastery’s Holy Trinity Cathedral. After the Liturgy, His Grace served a panihida at the grave of Metropolitan Philaret.
