Palm Coast, FL: The Kursk Root Icon visited St. Nicholas Church

 

On Wednesday, February 16, the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God visited St. Nicholas Church in Palm Coast, FL. Before a large gathering of the faithful, Eastern American Diocesan secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, who was accompanying the Icon, served a moleben and akathist in the church, co-served by Priest Alexiy Stennik (cleric of the Diocese of St. Petersburg).

 

Upon completion of the moleben, Fr. Serge delivered a sermon to the gathered faithful on the travels and miracles of the Kursk Icon, and reminded them about the heavenly and never-ceasing intercessions of the Theotokos for all mankind, and presented the parish an icon of the Mother of God of the Sign – a blessing from Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad.

 

The faithful prayed for a long time before the Icon, not wishing to part ways with the grace-filled image of the Most Holy Theotokos.
