The First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, and the Eastern American Diocesan vicars – Bishop George of Mayfield and Bishop Jerome of Manhattan – took part in the Divine Liturgy on the second anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Kyrill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.

After the Liturgy, in recognition of his diligent archpastoral labors, His Holiness presented Bishop George with the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov Second Class, on the occasion of the latter’s sixtieth birthday.

On Monday, January 31, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, participated in the first session of the (annual) meeting of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church for 2011.
