Holy Protection Church’s Parish School holds Nativity Yolka
On Sunday, January 11, the parish Russian School at Holy Virgin
Protection Church in Nyack, NY, held its annual Nativity Yolka,
organized with joy and gaiety by the efforts of the school’s students,
teachers, and parents. The play, based on the Russian folk tale "Prince
Ivan & the Gray Wolf," was put on by the students with a light and
joyous humor.

With the blessing of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad,
His Grace, Eastern American Diocesan
vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, will lead a pilgrimage to the Holy
Land during the Paschal days leading up to the feast of the Ascension.
The cost of registration is $2,750, which includes roundtrip airfare
from New York, room, board, transportation, and expenses.

Nativity Church hosts Overflow Homeless Shelter
At several points throughout the winter of 2014-2015, Nativity of Christ
Old Rite Church in Erie, PA is hosting an overflow homeless shelter. The
overflow shelter program, begun by local social service organization
"Community Shelter Services" (CSS), has local Erie churches open their
doors for rotating periods to house an overnight shelter and meals for
the homeless.

Ordination at Apostolic Mission of Christ
On Saturday, December 20, the Apostolic Mission of Christ (under the
protection of the Holy Apostles), in Miami, FL, was blessed with an
archpastoral visit from its ruling bishop, His Eminence, Metropolitan
Hilarion. The mission was received into ROCOR in early 2014, but this
was the first time that His Eminence was able to celebrate the Divine
Liturgy here.

of Bishop Constantine (Essensky)
Upon opening the casket, the gathered clergy, monastery brethren,
seminarians, and faithful laity could see the hierarch’s incorrupt body,
which was especially remarkable, explained Fr. Luke, considering that
Bishop Constantine’s resting place had been entirely flooded, which had
caused his former coffin and his vestments to be eaten away.
