On
Wednesday, March 3, upon completion of the Liturgy
of the Presanctified Gifts, a farewell banquet and official
closing of the conference were held in the parish hall of St. John the
Baptist Cathedral. Farewell addresses were delivered by diocesan
secretary Archpriest Serge Lukianov, Archpriest George Larin, Archpriest
Victor Potapov, Archpriest Wsewolod Drobot, and cathedral dean
Archpriest John Sorochka.

Wednesday, March 3, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church
Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and
New York, celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts in St.
John the Baptist Cathedral in Mayfield, PA. His Eminence was
co-served by Their Graces, Bishops George of Mayfield and Jerome
of Manhattan.

During the Little Entrance of the
Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on the last day of the Eastern
American Diocesan Pastoral Conference, the First Hierarch of the Russian
Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, bestowed awards on
several cleric of the Russian Church Abroad.

Second Day of Work at the Pastoral Conference Concluded

On
Tuesday, March 2, after the pilgrimage to St. Tikhon’s Monastery,
delegates to the Pastoral Conference returned to Mayfield for the second
half of Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov’s presentation, and a report by
Priest Gregoire Legoute on the suffering ROCOR mission in Haiti.

Tuesday morning, March 2, at the invitation of Abbot Sergius (Bowyer),
delegates to the Eastern American Diocesan Lenten Retreat and Pastoral
Conference, headed by the First Hierarch, Metropolitan Hilarion, and the
vicar bishops, visited St. Tikhon’s Monastery (OCA) in South Canaan,
PA.

Monday, March 1, after the official opening of the Pastoral Conference,
Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov shared the first half of his spiritual
discussion in the parish hall of St. John the Baptist Cathedral. The

On Monday, March 1, delegates from across
the Eastern American Diocese gathered in St. John the Baptist Cathedral
in Mayfield, PA for the official opening of the diocesan Lenten Retreat
and Pastoral Conference. At 11:00 AM, diocesan secretary Archpriest
Serge Lukianov, co-served by Deacon Nathan Mousselli, served a moleben
before the beginning of any good work, so as to call down the grace of
the Holy Spirit on our archpastors and conference delegates.

Eastern American Diocesan Council was held in Mayfield, PA, let by the
First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Hilarion,
Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York.
